The casserole was great! I used 1.5 lbs of bacon instead of the sausage, added three green onions, mixed it all the night earlier and refrigereated overnight. I baked information technology at 375 for 40 minutes, the first 15 covered. I took information technology to a church breakfast, and they loved it! I'll definitely make it again.
08/07/2005
I increased the eggs to 16, added eight slices of 24-hour interval former bread and tossed the sausage/bread mix lightly with the egg mix. I as well added 5 T milk, ane tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper to the eggs. I used ii c sharp cheddar in the egg mix, and topped information technology with another c of shredded cheddar/monterey jack alloy. I used pam not stick cooking spray to glaze the pan, just think a light glaze of crisco shortening would have been improve as some of information technology stuck a little. I baked it for 25-30 minutes instead of the fifteen indicated. Will feed ix. My gang loved information technology!

My family Really liked this. Nosotros substituted bacon for the sausage (just because of preference) and it was SO good! Every bit we discussed it though, adjacent fourth dimension nosotros'll probably add a few actress eggs and maybe toss the mix around a bit but and so there aren't so many crusty bits of bread otherwise this recipe is a keeper!
03/06/2003
We have updated this recipe to include cooking the sausage before it goes into the goulash.
03/27/2002
This repast was TERRIBLE!! Information technology did not take but 20 minutes to cook, more like an hour. I don't know which office was supposed to exist "Quick and Like shooting fish in a barrel", but it wasn't. It took longer than ten minutes to prepare and the eggs were runny. It was likewise fashion As well RICH and greasy. I would definitely not recommend this recipe to anyone, especially if you take high cholesterol!!
11/02/2002
The trick with this recipe is to use COOKED meat. Brown and drain the sausage before adding to the other ingredients. It does take more like 40 minutes to bake and was a fiddling too cheesy for my gustation...Of course my kids LOVED all that cheese. We have used a similar recipe to this using bacon and it was even better. Merely substitute browned crumbled bacon for the sausage and keep as instructed.
11/17/2011
The Cook time and Bake fourth dimension are not correct on this. Only once you broil information technology for long plenty it is a really good recipe. You demand to dark-brown your sausage or salary and that takes more than 10 min. to prep information technology all, and so just be prepareed to permit some time. I similar to go far at night (prep) and put in fridge overnight so it all soaks in the bread. then accept out and back in the morning. I covered with foil for 20 min. and then uncovered for 20 min. and that seems to bake perfectly. I used bacon instead and only 12oz. it was very flavorful with that much bacon. also about 1/2 less cheese. Will brand once more this way.

This is a great recipe and a favorite with my family. My mom has fabricated this for breakfast when we had company and for other special occasions. The but trouble we had was the cook time. It spent at least xv-20 actress minutes in the oven to permit the eggs to house upward. Otherwise it'due south great!
03/27/2002
Great for breakfast burritos! My husnabd'southward squadron loved it.
11/08/2000
I made this for lunch and we all loved it. It was easy to brand and even my picky 22 month sometime son ate it. I used bacon instead of sausage and it was delicious. I have added this to our family favorites.
12/30/2001
Piece of cake to prepare, I had my son aid with the preparation, then it's kid friendly, too. Very tasty, I cooked my sausage before I put it in tho.
08/17/2010
Very simple and fast. I made a minor version with 4 eggs, two slices of bread and some left over roast beef instead of sausage. I also added some fresh spinach, used mozz, added some italian seasoning and paprika, and so topped with tomato slices. Came out divine.
06/09/2011
I love easy recipes that you can modify on the whim to utilise what yous take on hand. This is just that type of recipe. You don't fifty-fifty really need to mensurate if you don't want. I remember eye balling things is and then much more fun! I idea this came out slap-up and also smelled wonderful! I used ground beef that I had prepared the previous day instead of sausage. I added green peppers and some yellow onions. To the beaten eggs I added parmesan cheese, milk,a dash of common salt, and a dash of pepper. I had a loaf of wheat bread that we didn't care for so this recipe was a bully opportunity to use that upward. I used sharp cheddar cheese and baked for 35 minutes at 350. Husbands response before trying it? "I'1000 not a fan of cheesy hamburger and egg stuff" Hubby'due south response Later actually eating information technology? "This is proficient!" Be artistic, accept fun, and mix it up! You really can't get incorrect here!
10/xiii/2010
I loved this recipe! Changes I fabricated were that I read the reviews then I used 2 more eggs than recommended and i less piece of bed. I likewise added a dash of cayenne pepper to the egg mixture and the sausage and bread mixture. I used reduced fat sausage and wheat bread. I baked it for 25 mins covered and then 2 mins uncovered and information technology was perfect. I also topped it with some low fat sour foam and it was delicious!
12/21/2007
Saute'd green onions and a greenish pepper with the sausage. As well added a tsp. of ground mustard. Result was super.
ten/15/2012
I made this for a "Breakfast" after a formal dance for a agglomeration of Teenagers! It was so good!!! I followed some of the suggestions - Because I was cooking for xviii teenagers, I added more eggs, bread, onions, cheese and sausage, and a footling more seasoning (Chili Pepper), and made it the night before to soak up all the goodies into the bread. I still used the same size pan to bake, and information technology just fabricated the casserole thicker. Skillful cold for left overs as well!
02/10/2008
This turned out great. And so quick and piece of cake to put together. I actually cut the recipe in half and made it in a 8X8 pan. It turned out great and it was enough for our family unit of three!! I also used link sausage cooked and cut and it was great. I will make this again for certain.
03/26/2007
I made this for almost 30 kids in our youth group. They all loved information technology! Instead of sausage I added ham that mode I didn't have to do anything on the stove summit. I simply cubed the ham and added it in...very piece of cake!
04/12/2009
I made this once more when my family came for a visit. They all raved virtually information technology and asked for the recipe. Such an piece of cake and versatile dish. You tin can add whatever you want in it. My family is anxious to brand it soon. This was and so good and easy to gear up. Took me 1/2 hour to broil it after with the foil off. I took it for "Sonrise" breakfast before church. No leftovers to take home. I used 1/2 white bread and 1/2 wheat bread which is what I had on hand. I used a combo of shredded cheeses to use upwards in the fridge. Shredded Mozzerella, cheddar and colby jack for topping. I also added light-green onions and some mixed blend of frozen chopped peppers. Added basil/table salt & pepper to taste. I added 1/4 loving cup of i/two% milk. My get-go egg broil and was very successful! Thanks for sharing your recipe.
07/05/2010
Not bad recipe. I added xvi eggs as suggested and used a lb. of bacon. I also added 3 light-green onions every bit mentioned too and it was great. Cooked 15 minutes covered and about fifteen minutes uncovered.
12/eleven/2010
This was yummy and and so like shooting fish in a barrel! I read a few reviews before manus and I cooked my bacon and drained it. I also cut back on the breadstuff (5 slices) and used some smoke cheese I had on hand! Perfect!
06/29/2008
I used a total 2 pounds of Jimmie Dean sausage and three/4 of a loaf of Italian breadstuff torn into small chunks. I layered the breadstuff into the pan first, added the wet ingredients side by side, pressed into the breadstuff, then added the cheese on meridian. I besides added sauteed onion and greenish pepper pieces to one-half the pan on top of the cheese, for my family that can't agree on these things! It did take longer to melt and melt the cheese, probably another fifteen minutes, only it was very tasty and we will make it again!
12/17/2007
Great recipe! I cutting the recipe in one-half and added chopped scallions and greenish pepper, some fresh spinach and a trivial half and one-half. Was still able to utilise a 9 1/2 by 12 inch pan. Low-cal, fluffy and succulent!
11/27/2010
Got great reviews only I made a few substitutions: I used the iron skillet I cooked the sausage in as the blistering dish, to save a dish. I cooked the sausages, drained them, cut them up, put them back in the skillet, added the bread--which was day-old poppy seed baguette, not white bread, then added the egg, skipping the cheese in the egg and instead topping the mixture with anile Gouda and anile Parmesan, both freshly and thinly diced, plus a healthy sprinkle of Momma'southward freshly grown rosemary, salt, and pepper.
01/14/2011
COOKING TIME IS WAY OFF! Is pretty skilful though, I used homefries instead of bread, less cheese, and cooked about twoscore-55 mins....cheers for sharing
11/xi/2002
My 2 twelvemonth former loved it. Will be making information technology a lot. Information technology was and so easy
05/xiv/2009
I made this for Mother's Day brunch. Super like shooting fish in a barrel to put together (although I wish I would take used my Kitchen Aid to whisk all those eggs!). I substituted green onions for the sausage because I'yard vegetarian and it was really tasty. If you are looking for an easy and delicious egg dish for a crowd, this is it!
07/28/2010
This recipe calls for Manner too much bread. My husband LOVES eggs and sausage and he HATED this recipe. I on the other hand LOVE bread and I likewise didn't care for this recipe. Never again!
05/22/2010
I've been making a similar version..I saute chopped onions, garic & bell peppers. I also add cubed potatoes that I brown earlier adding, and I put crumbled bacon on pinnacle after taking out of the oven.
12/25/2007
Tasted practiced, but I didn't like the way the bread jutted out of the tiptop of the casserole. I would suggest laying the bread at the bottom of the 9 10 13 dish and so pouring the eggs over the top. Also, I substituted turkey bacon for sausage (personal gustatory modality) and this was a good commutation. I used a full package of salary, just I would recommend only using half a parcel instead.
03/16/2013
I'yard not a dandy cook, just this was simple, easy to make, and the kids dear it. 1 of the reviews I read stated that this recipe required longer than 20 minutes to melt, and I concur. I cook it under foil for xx minutes, remove foil and scout. About 10 or so minutes later, the cheese on summit starts to turn gold dark-brown. the best manner to check for complete broil is to stick a straw of uncooked spaghetti into the casserole and so remove - if broth comes back out on the harbinger, it's not cooked. If it comes out dry, it's adept to go. Good luck, and happy eating.
02/10/2011
I broiled it for 35 minutes at 375 and information technology dried out too much. Next time bake at 350 for only 25 minutes and go on checking to make certain it is not over cooked.
03/29/2002
Prep time was 20 minutes(cooked the salary first). Melt time was 30 minutes. Definitely easy to make, merely a bit more time consuming than communicated. To much cheese called for in recipe, effort using less. I found the dish to salty with the amount of cheese and the bacon I used, and then using depression sodium bacon and cheese volition be helpful. Kids constitute information technology rather bland. I tin can just call back of embellishing the recipe with unlike spices and adding green peppers and onions for more flavor.
01/05/2011
I fabricated this for a pot luck at my church this morning. It was so yummy! I used three smaller pans instead of one big one, and ii of them were gone correct abroad! The last one I got to bring home, and I can't look to end it off tomorrow! I also used turkey bacon instead of sausage- a nice touch.
08/30/2010
I baked this for a brunch, and information technology was delicious! Everyone loved it, and wanted the recipe! The recipe is very simple, and you tin can set up it the night before y'all bake it. I followed the recipe exactly, and it turned out bully, although it did require well-nigh 20 minutes more than time in the oven than this recipe calls for. YUMMY! I volition be making this regularly from now on. Highly recommended!!!
11/28/2010
Four stars considering my boys loved it. I used two pounds of turkey breakfast sausage, a baguette, and sharp white cheddar. Yum!
04/29/2008
This was very good! I will definitely make this once more.
01/twenty/2011
Okay I used ham and the flavor was groovy! Just I requite it 3 stars cause I cooked it for 40 minutes at 375 and it withal wasn't done in the eye. For time sake I had to put it into the microwave for 10 minutes to end cooking information technology.
12/23/2000
This was very tasty and my kids dearest it. I take a two, 10, and 12 twelvemonth old and trying to find something they all like is hard. This did it!!!
02/xvi/2007
There is some other recipe on this site chosen Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole which is very similar and Highly Rated. We get in oft-also adding more eggs.Endeavor information technology with toasted english muffins instead of breadstuff and try maple breakfast sausage! Also, mix the dark before and let meld before baking.
09/xiv/2003
I used bacon and sauted onions and really enjoyed the bread pieces in this. I scaled recipe downwardly for 2 and used swiss and cheddar cheeses. I also made sure I mixed the egg into everything. I would utilize less cheese and more staff of life side by side time equally it was a bit too rich but still yummy. -- second fourth dimension I cutting upwardly frozen beef sausage links and sauted them w/ chopped onions and peppers and I used five oz. cream cheese and one/four loving cup parmesan browbeaten into the eggs for cheese. I topped it off w/ 4 slices of american ripped into strips. I added iv tbsp. water to the eggs also. Baked it upwards in a 9 in. pie plate and was delicious!!!!
10/16/2011
The ratio of ingredients is off. Its besides cheesy, not enough bread, probably a little more egg would make it ameliorate besides.
01/03/2015
I fabricated this for my hubby & myself one rainy Saturday forenoon and basically cut the recipe in half. I used 6 eggs, 3 pieces of staff of life, ham instead of sausage considering nosotros had it left over from New year's day, through in a little light-green pepper, fresh mushroom, and green onion. OMG..... it was awesome. Fast, delicious, and easy.My kind of breakfast casserole!
07/29/2014
I've been making Tuesday brunch for a lively bunch for 4 weeks running…some of the women voted this the best egg dish. I cooked the sausage before adding information technology and doubled the cooking time, (as recommended by others here.) I thought the recipe seemed a scrap banal, so I chopped an onion and a ruby pepper, sautéed them in a fleck of butter and added information technology to the mix…succulent!
06/xviii/2009
This was pretty yummy! We're a vegetarian family, so I substituted the meat with Gimme Lean ground veggie sausage. I cut the recipe downwards to 4 servings and it was just right. I cooked it for 15 minutes covered and so some other 15 uncovered. I'll make it again!
01/05/2008
This was awesome! I made information technology for everyone on Christmas morning, it was a huge success.
07/03/2010
Yummy!! I used an 8x8 pan, and 15 minutes was not near long enough. I put it in for an extra 10 minutes, 25 total, and information technology was perfect. I just used 1 lb of sausage, and added crumbled smoked gouda (about a half a palm full) and it was fabled!
12/06/2007
Personally, I didn't care for this recipe at all. I thought it was a bit dry out. I took information technology to a Church Pot-Luck and only ii people had seconds. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is considering the 2 that had seconds, loved it! Not a keeper for my family, sorry.
04/07/2008
This was a pretty good dish! Instead of white breadstuff, I used Sara Lee 45 calorie Multi-grain bread! This gave it somewhat of a sweet gustation. It was practiced (and low-fat, I used all lowfat ingrediants), but I call back I will employ white breadstuff next time! I will definately do this over again!
11/14/2004
Very good. I did scale downwards the recipe by about half, using 4 pieces of bread, 8 eggs, and 1 lb of sausage in a 8 10 viii in pan. It took 45 minutes to cook, with the terminal v minutes uncovered. I used hot italian sausage, pepper jack cheese and a dash of tobasco sauce, and it had just the right corporeality of "kick".
ten/09/2009
This was then good. I used precooked sausage and added bacon and chorizo also. I prepared it the night earlier and let information technology sit in the fride. Everyone loved it, this will become a staple in our dwelling house.
03/01/2011
My family actually enjoyed this...fifty-fifty my 15 month onetime babe. I did add a couple more eggs than information technology chosen for though.
12/24/2011
Dearest this recipe! I agree - brown the sausage first. I also add together chopped onion, green pepper and mushrooms when browning the sausage. I've made this recipe to serve up to 60 members of the church choir and they honey it! Add together a fruit salad and maybe a sweet staff of life and you've got a great meal.
03/11/2012
Easy, fast, fun recipe! The flavor is great and my family unit loved it. I chopped upwardly an onion when I cooked the sausage only information technology would have been skilful without information technology too. You could add lots of veggies to this recipe if you wanted to. I served with orange slices for breakfast.
03/07/2012
Wonderful recipe! I used chorizo sausage instead of ground breakfast sausage and besides put half a green pepper and half an onion and it plough out wonderful!
04/26/2012
I substituted bacon as well! We loved this dish on Easter. I followed the recipe and it turned out perfect! I'm going to make it again for the 'girls cottege weekend.' I needed to look the recipe u once more and decided to get out rating.
x/06/2007
I did non like the used of bread in this recipe, so next fourth dimension I substituted past using bread crumbs. Worked much better! Also used cubed ham instead of sausage and that was delicious.
12/24/2006
Made this exactly as shown except increased the servings to 8 which filled the nine 10 xiii dish more fully. Turned out wonderfull. Had salt and pepper on the table and no one took whatsoever. Made with spartan mild sausage and mild cheddar also cut the staff of life slices into 16 equal pieces which made the recipe more unifrom and cooked well. This will be at the top of my list from now on.
01/31/2012
I gave this a 5 bit I did modify it some what. I used pre cooked sausage and I cut it upward in small cubes then chopped up an onion and took a couple handfuls of those pocket-size cubed frozen hash browns and I fired it up for a bit so I spread it evenly over the bread and I broke my cheese grater and had no grated cheese and then I cut up some cheddar in small cubes and threw that in. I had to apply 14 eggs and some milk to brand certain in that location was enough wet to soak into the bread. I also added some pepper, garlic pulverisation, and a little paprika. Information technology turned out really good. I had some salsa in the fridge and decided to attempt it with some of the left over and it was fifty-fifty better! very expert base to effort different things with! I volition add together peppers and mushrooms next fourth dimension. and add together some shredded cheese to the top. since I was unable to this time.
02/15/2010
HOLY there is and then much cheese in hither. I bought two 8 oz bags of cheese. I ended upwardly only putting 12 ounces in but we (a cheese-loving family) could barely stand how much cheese was in here. I'd say bring the cheese downwards at least to viii ounces, and bake an extra 10 minutes or so.
02/02/2012
My kids (5 & ix) absolutely loved this! I was a piffling worried at first because my youngest does not treat casseroles, but after the first bite she told me over and over how yummy it was. Then she asked how did I make it so practiced, and said I cook better than chefs:) Yous can't crush that! I cut the recipe in half, used salary instead of sausage and used wheat bread. Subsequently reading others reviews I went alee and barely mixed all ingredients together rather than simply pouring into the eggs. Information technology took well-nigh 40 minutes to cook through, and I forgot to cover with foil. Nosotros will accept this again for certain!
05/28/2006
I made it with diced, cooked ham that I browned a bit. Very skillful and easy - probably ameliorate with sausage - just crusade information technology needed a flake of common salt and pepper! Definitely going in my recipe box!
03/21/2008
Brought this to family unit dinner. Anybody loved it!!!!
03/28/2010
Besides dense and chewy. Not really cheesy. Non really yummy in any way. I won't make this again.
12/15/2012
GREAT recipe!! I add things to it, onions, salary & mushrooms. I make this a few times a year. Christmas 24-hour interval for brunch for sure! Savour!! Note: Some wrote that the recipe did non have it listed as cooked sausage just in the instructions information technology says to brown your sausage, drain grease and ready aside.
02/14/2009
It took a little flake longer than the listed time, just turned out dandy. Something I'll probably prepare for the next potluck.
01/22/2010
It looks and smells Keen! I will probably employ a few more eggs next time and add virtually 1/4 cup of milk to the beaten eggs to make information technology a little fluffier. I also had to cook for nearly 10 more minutes to get the eggs cooked all the fashion.
02/14/2010
The beauty of this recipe is that information technology'south comprised of four simple ingredients! I made information technology for guests who were vegetarian and gluten-intolerant, then I replaced the sausage with soy breakfast patties and the staff of life with Ezekiel bread. I didn't detect any difference, and information technology received praise all around. It's succulent on its own yet in that location's plenty of room for personal interpretation: I'll probably play around with basil, oregano, mushrooms, and olives side by side fourth dimension I make it.
01/24/2012
Smashing breakfast idea! Tried it for the outset fourth dimension and was perfect with a side of oatmeal. My 13 year one-time was not hungry for a bit!
04/07/2005
fast, enjoyable to fix and very good
06/xix/2005
This wasn't eggy enough for me. I converted it to serve four and baked it in an 8x8 pan and the layer of eggs was too thin. I took the advice of another person and went lighter on the cheese, merely it however seemed like their was besides much. Too much staff of life too. I think it could be proficient with those two items really reduced and the corporeality of eggs increased. It too needed tabasco, but that can be added at the table. I'll try it once again with some modificaitons - I used salary, light-green onions, peppers and mushrooms.
01/02/2011
This was straightforward and easy to assemble. Tasted great, perfect blend of egg, cheese, and sausage. I've fabricated casseroles before that had to sit overnight, and this i was simply equally good without the wait!
08/03/2009
Simple to ready and succulent. I broiled information technology for 30min after taking the foil off. It was perfect!
12/26/2007
Very elementary and flavorful. Great for a crowd who likes a basic egg casserole. I used leftover soft dinner rolls instead of the bread. Very good!
03/01/2011
Yum! To relieve fourth dimension and for less cooking I substituted Oscar Meyer Real Bacon Bits four.v oz purse instead of cooking sausage or bacon and subbed whole wheat breadstuff instead of white. I was worried nearly how it would come out simply it was a oversupply pleaser! My kids loved information technology, in fact the whole fam did!
03/14/2010
tates like bread!
01/14/2006
I e'er add some blackness pepper, salt, onions and a tin of dark-green chiles. Easy to ready.
xi/15/2014
I searched for almost 30 minutes to detect a simple casserole recipe on the cyberspace this one was the winner. Its cold out and this weekend I didn't desire to exit. This recipe is simple simply oh and then delicious. Y'all can personalize it I used turkey sausage and added greenish peppers and onions ( I love Veggies). The colour is cute and the boys are and then full they are headed dorsum to sleep. Thank you for sharing
06/25/2011
Like shooting fish in a barrel and skilful - I baked it in the toaster oven and definitely needed a good x-15 minutes more than uncovered (15 covered, 25-30 uncovered). I retrieve you could cutting downward a chip on the sausage, and I would stir the sausage mixture into the beaten eggs next fourth dimension - that may allow one to cut down on the additional cooking time.
06/17/2013
This is surprisingly piece of cake and good. I tweaked it a little, equally per other reviews, and added green onion, red bell pepper, salt, pepper and some milk. Side by side fourth dimension, I will use but 5 slices of bread and maybe some actress cheese in the mix with a little less on top. My sons all have very different tastes and all loved this one. I can too imagine that it would be good with a mix of meats - sausage, ham and bacon.
01/23/2012
Tasty for breakfast, and good with a splash of Tobasco sauce as well.
04/sixteen/2006
This was amazing. I used ground chicken, seasoned it with basis black pepper & common salt and added 2 onions to the skillet. I likewise used potato breadstuff instead of white. Swell brunch recipe!
05/23/2011
Very elementary, but tasty "throw together" for breakfast.
05/29/2014
I, besides, increased to eight slices of bread and 16 eggs. I added some cheddar, some mozzarella, pepper and some water (I was out of milk) and stirred everything up to a consistency that I thought looked practiced. My sausage was fully cooked, by the way. Baked at 350 covered for fifteen minutes, then finished baking uncovered after that (sorry, didn't continue rail of the rest of the fourth dimension, just brought it out of the oven when information technology smelled and looked adept). I call up some people misunderstood the original recipe. Instructions were correct as written...broil at 350 for 15 minutes, and so uncover and bake until aureate and bubbly! A lot of reviewers ripped the poster for the time stating that xv minutes wasn't enough! Well no kidding, that'south not what the instructions stated!! I guess PREP, Melt and Set up IN minutes next to the recipe directions are way off, but if y'all read the recipe you can effigy that out. Good food!
11/xx/2005
I followed some other's suggestions and used sixteen eggs and about 12 slices of breadstuff. I used sausage and several slices of leftover salary cut upwardly and also cut back on the cheese. I will probably cut back on the bread next time.
12/fourteen/2014
To the one that says information technology took an hour did y'all brown your sausage first bleed backlog fat and set aside to cool?? I make this all the fourth dimension it takes 15 mins covered and 15 uncovered and volition plough out perfect. If yous want to add things I do however recommend ane actress egg for each extra ingredient. Cheers for making my breakfasts a hit. Wonderful recipe. Oh yes and if you add 2 eggs for extra ingredients I recommend another piece of bread Enjoy this I know we do.
04/14/2012
Used ham and 4 pieces of sliced cheddar cheese cutting up (cause that is all I had!). Took 45 minutes to bake. Nothing crazy but good.
04/26/2012
I loved this casserole! Nosotros used 1 lb of turkey sausage and a 1 lb of bacon. We used 6.v pieces of bread and and so we used thirteen eggs. We cooked the meat start and then started the rest. We cook it for 15 minutes and remove the foil and cook for an additional 15. Let me tell you lot, this is neat! Make sure y'all cook the meat- or otherwise the recipe volition taste off.
02/09/2005
This recipe is definitely like shooting fish in a barrel, and cooked up only beautifully. Unfortunately, it's pretty bland. If I arrive again, I'll probably add together some peppers and onions or something to give it some boot. Likewise, it makes a lot, and doesn't store well, then you may want to one-half the recipe if y'all're not having a bunch of people over.
01/07/2011
I tried making this for my husband on father'due south mean solar day and it did non plow out to my liking. Much less than 7 slices of breadstuff demand to be used.
06/29/2009
My grandma used to make this everytime we went to run into them. Delicious! My sister gave me a new idea which I tried and loved! Instead of the pieces of breadstuff nosotros bought the frozen packages of hashbrowns at the store and added those in and it is wonderful. I also added a trivial fleck of light-green onion for some more flavor.
01/06/2007
I added sliced mushrooms and a diced green pepper for Christmas morning, and everyone loved it!
12/25/2013
Used half the amount of cheese because that'south all I had on hand at 1am on Christmas Eve, and I remember if I had added anymore it would accept been mode likewise cheesey! My lilliputian family loved it and all gave me hugs and thank yous after eating it, so I'one thousand definitely adding information technology to my cookbook. I tin can brand these the night before for my married man and then he has something in the morning that's fast and yummy and HOT earlier heading off to work.
12/08/2010

This was quick and piece of cake to make. I added some chopped onion. Next fourth dimension I recollect I will cut the cheese by 4 ounces. There was merely too much of it.

My family unit loved this recipe! This is a nice alternative to casseroles with hashbrowns or potatoes. I used ham instead of sausage and I'g looking forwards to trying it with sausage.

Took l minutes to broil, just my family thought it was really good. I added red and green bong peppers and onions to the egg mix. My husband thought the eggs tasted "funny" with a strange consistency until he found out there was bread in the casserole- then he actually liked it!
