Beginning your review of Crossfire

Crossfire is a fast-paced, action packed romance story with a dirty-talking biker, a sassy, spoiled redhead, suspense, a few violence scenes, and plenty of heat.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

That whiled away a few hours, really enjoyed coming together Isabelle and Jameson.

Loved Isabelle's fiery spirit, although she was in a bad place, due to her ex, she was determined to get in on her ain.

Jameson, large teddy bear, although he wouldn't want anyone to thing that! only once he deemed you were worthy of his loyalty you had it.

Ace put an advent, but I feel you didn't accept to take read any of the CAOS series to enjoy Crossfire.

I liked Jameson and Isabelle'south chemical science, they were good together

That whiled away a few hours, actually enjoyed meeting Isabelle and Jameson.

I liked Jameson and Isabelle's chemistry, they were good together simply merely after experiencing the bad time from her ex, she was hell bent on making information technology forth without any mans help or interference.

Jameson was a real admirer and I loved that when they finally got it together they were explosive.

Got this for complimentary, and then sometimes you get what you pay for. Information technology was ok, but a couple of trigger-happy scenes ruined it for me. Isabelle is a spoilt brat prima donna who breaks downwards in the desert while fleeing her abusive fellow? husband? Not sure. Jameson finds her and rescues her, if you can telephone call taking her to a inexpensive, dirty motel a rescue. They are total opposites, and has apparently e'er had money and looks downward on the motorcycle riding, cigarette smoking, tattooed guy that accept her a ride. He ha Got this for complimentary, and then sometimes you lot go what y'all pay for. Information technology was ok, just a couple of vehement scenes ruined information technology for me. Isabelle is running similar the dickens to get far far away from Palm Springs and her ex fiancé Scott. He has beaten her for the last time simply she doesn't get far when her engine dies and she has no telephone because she threw it out the window. Equally she realizes she has to walk ten miles in the hot sun with high heels and a pencil skirt she is terrified and relieved to see a guy on a cycle heading her way. When she meets Jamison she is a wreck she has never dealt with someone like him before. This story Isabelle is running like the dickens to become far far away from Palm Springs and her ex fiancé Scott. He has beaten her for the concluding time but she doesn't become far when her engine dies and she has no phone because she threw it out the window. As she realizes she has to walk ten miles in the hot dominicus with loftier heels and a pencil skirt she is terrified and relieved to run across a guy on a bike heading her way. When she meets Jamison she is a wreck she has never dealt with someone like him before. This story was very suspenseful and really interested me from the kickoff and it'southward really hard to put downwardly.

I received a free copy of Crossfire by Chiliad B Winters and this review was given freely.
This is a drama packed romance crafted around Jameson and his protection of physically abused Isabelle. The novel contains graphic symbol with strong personalities, strong emotions, some swearing, some graphic violence, and ends with a steamy honey scene.

Ane star is being generous...this volume was a total suckfest!

Fast read. Story of Isabella running abroad from her abusive boyfriend. She ended upwards in the dessert a quit town chosen Mills. A car broke down and bad boy Jameson came to save her.

Plot errors. Editing errors. Was put in the CAOS box set, merely take no thought why. The guy rode a motorcycle. Vague mention of club and a cutting. Was left shaking my head in confusion.

Isabelle is awful. She'due south a consummate and utter Karen, a spoiled princess who wants to complain when things don't get her mode. I'm not saying she deserved the abuse - non at all - merely when she's chewing out the manager of the but garage in this teeny, tiny town, because "who the heck doesn't have BMW parts?"... well, let'southward just say she'southward not a sympathetic character. Had no idea what Jameson saw in her, seeing every bit she'southward nothing merely rude to him when he's trying to help - no wonder he had some snark coming back.

I kinda liked Jameson, though. He's a big part of why it was rounded up to 2 stars. Yes, he'south pretty violent, just he's besides got a humor nearly him, in his view of the world.

Information technology felt like one of Winters'due south earlier works. The underdeveloped characters, side characters most nonentities (pretty much just names), the less stable pacing, more violence and less romance (even less sexual activity!) than the CAOS or Reckless series... heck, the lodge doesn't even take a name! You tin can meet the seeds of CAOS, though - MC protecting the population of a tiny CA desert boondocks, for starters.

Alternating 1st person POV (not enjoyable with Isabelle). No cheating, no OW drama, no beloved triangle nonsense. OM in the picture - abusive ex. More trigger-happy than other MC books I've read from Winters, and the connectedness between the leads never felt real (maybe considering it never felt like Isabelle cared about anyone else besides herself?). Very unlikable h - take you gotten that picture yet? HFN catastrophe, simply no cliffhanger.

Would I read more from this author? Aye. I've enjoyed a lot of her other works, so am glad this wasn't my commencement.
